De Bello Antiquitum Online: why the hell did nobody tell me about this?!

DBA Online

Anyone played? Any opinions? It's available for free, so I'm downloading it right now.

Edit: damn, never mind, this looks really complex.

I played it. Don't think that it's too complex.

Edit: Gah.. Now I finally know what that "DBA" means! :laugh4:

Because:

1) No one has ever heard of it.
2) The cover looks bad, so I won't even be tempted to open it.
(The html coding of the frontpage is messed up and looks really wonky. Do I trust them with an application?)

I've seen this before, but if it turns out that we can play online against each other I'd be more than happy to try to figure this out with someone. I've seen DBA tournaments at play in the past (During my miniature battlegaming days) and they look quite fun.

So yeah if anyone wants to try to get this thing worked out then feel free to message me or let me know.

The Historic Miniatures Gaming Society (HMGS) here in the USA has DBA tournaments at all of its conventions.

WHO ARE YOU!?!?! I've never seen you before, now all of a sudden I'm seeing you everywhere. Did I miss something? Was there a name change? I feel so left out of the loop...

I don't like the computer version.

The tabletop version is great if you can find people interested in it and have the time,money,and effort to expend on it.

I’ve never played the PC or the miniatures version. I do see lots of people pushing lead while competing at conventions using DBA rules.


Veho, I signed my name in the Orgs concrete when it was still wet. Though badly worn and hard to see, it has remained unchanged.
