I'm thinking of starting another AAR
and i'd like some input on who the community would like to see an AAR centred around
i won't be doing a Makedonian AAR since I simply cannot compete with MAA, probably won't be a Romani either as there seems to be an abundance of these around at the moment
i'll start a poll with the four most popular ideas
Re: I'm thinking of starting another AAR
Personally, I would like to see a Ptolemaioi AAR. I think they are underrepresented. Anyway, I wish you luck with whatever your choice is going to be.

Re: I'm thinking of starting another AAR
I don't think I've ever even SEEN a Ptolemaioi AAR. Maybe it has something to do with the whole "marrying your sister" thing, or maybe it's their easy starting situation. With Makedonians, Hellenes, Aigyptians, Jews, Galatians, Kypriots, and Anatolians, there's all sorts RP potential, though. Personally, the thought of a native Aigyptian rebellion has always appealed to me.
I don't think I've ever seen a Sauromatae AAR either, now that I think about it.
Re: I'm thinking of starting another AAR
do a pontos one i dont think ive ever seen one for them or maybe a getai
Re: I'm thinking of starting another AAR
AEDUI! AEDUI! The last one of those was my own. OMG.
Re: I'm thinking of starting another AAR
How bout and Epieros one? Although a Ptolemy one would be fun too. Or a Sauramatai...
Re: I'm thinking of starting another AAR
a proper stteppe faction aar is yet to be written, the description of the terrible winters the hearding of catle the gathering of the clans to avenge an insult from the horrible horrible stinky people from the sea shore who live behinde the stone walls
a proper aar would be a mix beteween the life of gengis khan (remember the abduction of the wife the expel and all of that) and a western with the hearding of catle around long distances and the mighty cavalry attacks/charges
the suffering and the hardship of the caracters make for a proper interesting story (add in a bad birth with the children being born dead as an omen for bad things and make a poem about the strenght of men to bend the wheel of fortune to it´s own wishes )
i mean seriusly with a bit of research you can make an historical aar that represents the strugle and magnificence of the steppe people
or if you want another aproach but still with a nomad faction make an aar based on the arabians/africans from the desert :sweatdrop:
Re: I'm thinking of starting another AAR

Chirurgeon had his Indomitable Nile, really worth reading.
I would agree wtih Ptolemaioi. Some barbarian faction would be nice too.
Moonburn, I was thinking about something like that, I have many ideas, I just have to start a campaign.
