Question about reforms (Alex exe)
Here is my problem:
In my ongoing Carthaginian campaign i can't get military reforms. I've changed the EBBS_script in order to have my
reforms after 100 turns, but nothing happens. Last time when i've played Carthaginian campaign (with the same EBBS_script)
the reforms came with no problem.
The news in my EB engine is this:
1) I play on ALex exe (originally i was playing on rtw.exe).Shorcut for Alex exe goes like this:
"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\rometw-alx.exe" -mod:eb -show err -nm -noalexander
Which means that no Trivial script is loaded. While rtw.exe shorcat loads Trivial script because of
his path:
"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\EBTrivialScript\EBTrivialScript.exe" -s ebconfig.xml -runeb -type "Single Player"
So i'm wondering if this is the cause i have no reforms. Is Trivial script needed for reforms?
2) I don't even have installed EB. My EB is a Nero backup from a DVD which i made before i've reformated my hard disk. That means i didnt
really "installed" rtw+Eb: i've made a backup and then i've decompressed it on my hard drive. So, is this maybe
a cause for my problem?
Does anyone have some clue?
Thanx

Re: Question about reforms (Alex exe)
do you play with LZ3's adaptation or full Alexander EB?
LZ3 released an adaptation of EBBS for the last fixes.
Maximus avoids trivial script.
Re: Question about reforms (Alex exe)
I have Alex exe and one file from alexander data.cab file placed in my EB folder.
Anyway, i've killed my problem, so i have reforms now. The problem was in my EBBS_script: i've typed something wrong and now have it corrected.
@Atraphoenix: thanks for your interest though! :beam:
