Warnings/demotions

Hello,

Moderators can issue infractions/warnings. Those come with points or not. Typically 0 till 2, in some cases they will issue more. When you have 3 points, you'll be demoted for a few days. That demotion will be over the top in some cases, but so is the behaviour of some receivers, the actions leading to the warning and the response after it.

The demotion is automatically lifted after a few days and your account is restored to normal. Sometimes this fails, usually it's because of a script not executing when it should. This time it's because of an extra setting slipping in, and yes, I have likely activated it by accident. That setting keeps you in the demoted group. That extra setting is removed and it should work again like it is supposed to work.

Many other things can go wrong with your account: it happened a few times that the database dropped one completely, it can become locked because of an e-mail reset and so on. Please don't assume I quietly banned, booted or deleted you.

Your account will be demoted/banned:
-demoted for a few days after receiving/accumulating 3 infraction points within a month
-banned and then it will be announced here
-your account was just banned and you sign up with alts to continue the crusade, those accounts will be locked/deleted without further notice
-accounts are very clearly spam bots and will be removed without further notice

In all other cases it's a software glitch and the best way to fix it is to send me a PM or post here. That can be through a friend or an alt account. Sometimes it will be very simple to fix, sometimes you'll need to prove the account is yours (forgot password and also changed mail for example).
