AFAIK, Type 1 represents the a province under the direct rule of a Spartan type government. Type 2 tends towards a more Athenian style city. Then again I could well be wrong...
I believe that is the case, however, you can build a Spartan-style government in Athens, so I doubt that's why you can't build a Type1 government in Korinthos.
Yep.. pretty much that, take into consideration that KH goverment types aren´t like those of Romans or others, after all they are not a single faction, remember it´s a league of greek cities, each one with their own kind of goverment.
As far as i remember the Goverment tipes are:
1- Spartan Agoge System: some cities with some way of Spartan influence??
2- Democracy or something like that i believe?
3- Local tyrant: 1 guy with power!!
4- Allied greek city: Another greek city in Da League with all autonomy.

Nice, I wanted to start a thread on the same topic, cause I was asking me why I can build a type 1 government on Crete and not for Corinthe or for Chalkis. Does anyone know why Crete allows the type 1 government?
btw. the type 2 government is the Hellenic Klerouchy.
I think krete had a similar culture to sparta and so would be more accepting of a Agoge system, don't know why Athens is able to build one though, as you'd assume they would be completely opposed to a spartan agoge.

I recently started a Koinon Hellenon campaign myself and also found this a bit odd. Just with how the system of expansion works, it was a bit of a change to steer away from the Roman method where you know Italia is Homeland and the gist of your nearby conquests are Subjugation ready.
Hostorically, Corinth in 272 BC is more "Macedonian" centered than "KH" centered, as well as there was a fact that Macedonian - dominated federation was named "Corinthian Language". So it make sense if Corinth was become not a "homeland" to the greeks that time...
Correct, although I am pretty sure that type II does not represent a government-style but full inclusion in the KH without institution of the agoge. Type III and IV are partial inclusion in the KH.Quote:
