It's awesome. The community isn't that big but I can play either a future war game or a ww2. Once I find my TA cd's or obtain it, then I can play all the TA mods for it.
BTW: This is a shameless rip of RJ and Hooahs thread.

Some of the TA-based mods are all their own content anyway, I'm pretty sure. I've played TA-based mods without downloading specific TA content and I don't own the CDs.
So for the rest of us unwashed masses, what is this thread about? :help:

Oi! your right I forgot a link... Thanks Husar
its fun, but i dont really like rts games all too much.
theyre too "just spam a few types of units and you win oh joy" type of gameplay.
the reason why i lose SoaSE is because there is a cap of the really good units. in other rts games there is no such caps. so you can just send in a huge mass of tanks or planes and wipe everyone out. even on hardest.
but with SoaSE there is a capitol ship cap, and if you mass any unit you can lose pretty easily.
Sins is an RTS.

something wrong reverend?
Spring is a great open source game. I love how they're keeping the TA spirit alive. It is and RTS, there's no getting around that, but unlike some there's more to it than just unit spamming. It seemed to be coming along very nicely last I played it, but indirect fire seemed to have some problems. So to those playing the latest version- does artillery work ok or are there still instances where it refuses to fire?
I'm not sure, I cant seem to get a game of any TA mod going. I've been playing a WW2 mod for it.
