Issuing the 2012 challange.
Here's what I think we should do; every time anyone das org encounters a person who "believes in 2012" we should issue them this challange:
"If you truely believe that the world will end in Dec 2012, then in summer 2012, I double dare you to apply for every credit card known to man, and completely MAX them all out with exorbitant purchases and off-the-cuff donations"
Hey, if they really believe that the world will end in Dec 2012 then what difference will having an epic CC bill make if 2013 never comes... At the very least it should separate those who really believe it from the posers.

All will depend on the outcome of the 2012 presidential race.

LOL, That would be a good ticket!
My gawd! pevergreen could potentially be swept into office on the "if you don't vote for me the universe will implode!" platform.
VOTE PEVER in 2012!
Re: Issuing the 2012 challange.
Are you ignorant? Don't you watch youtube videos?! There is a wealth of evidence to suggest the world will end in 2012...
Re: Issuing the 2012 challange.
what if the Mayan's missed the Mark, and the world ended on March, 15th 2011? That'd disappoint some of those 2012 fanatics.
Re: Issuing the 2012 challange.
Actually I want you 2012 people to think about it this way. December 31st is the end of the year correct? and our calander starts anew? RIGHT??!?!? Well look at the damn myan calander this way, it ends, it starts anew... Its just the planet going from the up position to the down position on a cosmic scale.

Re: Issuing the 2012 challange.
The Universe programmers made the code, this is the real truth.
Wanna proof?
Start
Year=0
n=2012
For I=1 to n
If Year<2012 then
Year=Year +1
End If
If Year=2012
DOOOOOOOOOOM
End If
Next I
End

Re: Issuing the 2012 challange.
That is actually a very good idea..............
and i thought they choose 2012 because the planets were aligning or something and the only real reason people take it seriously is because astronomers say something will happen then but they don't know what will happen.
Re: Issuing the 2012 challange.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh We're aaaaallll dooooooooooooooooomed!!!!!!! :drama2:
Why on Earth did you tell me about this now? I will be worring about it now for the next 3 years, why oh why didn't you wait until 20/12/12, that way I wouldn't have had time to worry about it! I would have been perfectly fine living in ignorant bliss until bliss until all creation ceased to be, but no. You had to go and ruin everything. Thanks Kurando, thanks a lot.:furious3:
Re: Issuing the 2012 challange.
All this talk about the apocalypse just because a ####### calendar is going to end? Calendars end every year, it’s quite beautiful really :laugh4:

I know people who already use this personal financial strategy for instant gratification and pursuit of happiness stuff. Last one off the planet is a rotten egg, the one with the most stuff wins.

Hehe, yeah. The one with the most stuff wins a heaping pile of impermanence, and a one way trip to impermanenceville, population: you.
...Oh wait, the universe already hands that prize out to each person 6,400,099,998 a day; it's actually a great gift. Too bad it's packaged in a way that makes people run screaming for their lives...
At any rate, it looks like these 2012 melon ranchers are getting ready to join a rather distinguished club.

Brilliant. I might sig this, with your permission :bow:
Re: Issuing the 2012 challange.
This whole 2012 thing is even becoming popular in the religious circles. On one Christian forum they had to make an announcement banning any more 2012 threads, since apparently one of the 2012 theories involves a polar shift which could have the affect of making the stars appear to fall from the sky as it mentions in one of the Bible verses, and some people were getting a bit overexcited with this. Crazy stuff.
