I remember a while ago there was a topic on this subject, but I can't seem to find it now.
Anyway, it's a bit annoying, although certainly not a major issue. It seems that all units within a given rank are firing at the exact same time, or sections of them are. This applies to fire-by-rank and platoon firing units as well. I'm not sure about units with mass fire, but it seems likely.
It's mostly an aesthetic thing, but does anybody know if there's a fix?
