Re: Impostor/Client Ruler
Nope, no salvage. From my experience, the impostor trait's effects never wear off.
Re: Impostor/Client Ruler
Weird....the interloper and impostor traits seemed to wear off when I took the family member/client ruler out of the settlements for a few turns. I could be wrong though. :inquisitive:

They do, but the effects of the impostor trait never seem to wear off. The generals still have no Influence points, nor the law bonus.
Re: Impostor/Client Ruler
Thanks for the replies, I figured he was a goner but I owed him the benefit of the doubt.
Re: Impostor/Client Ruler
This should not be happening. As far as I can see, the impostor effects are eliminated along with the trait.
Re: Impostor/Client Ruler
Maybe that general is also a lame drunken fool? just look at his other trait for sure... :2thumbsup:

No experience with this BUT, could it be that his law bonus, etc is linked to a trait. The anti trait could be imposter. When that wears off he goes neutral which would be him, sans regular law bonus etc.
This is just speculation because I don't consider them worth the price of upkeep so never use them.
Re: Impostor/Client Ruler
This thread reminds me of a question about General/Client Ruler traits. What to do with the General? Once I recruited a General, he can't enter any city be it lvl IV government or lvl I, but if he stays a lot in the wilderness, he starts to get tons of negative health traits, moral traits etc. So, how can I use him to the full potential, or is it better not to bother with Generals at all?
Re: Impostor/Client Ruler
I think you need to constantly build fort while on the move. I swear I only get "rationing" trait when sieging, never on the move.
Speaking of fort, why can't I build fort when I have negative money even if fort is free?

The axes and spades have been sold to pay for the soldiers' wages.
Seriously, this is hardcoded. The engine assumes a fort costs money (as it did in vanilla) and therefore won't give the option of building one if the treasury is less than the required amount, even if the required amount is zero.

He can stay in a gov4 settlement without any penalty.
