Help Cheer me Up! (Please)
I've had a bad case of the blues lately. It honestly seems like it have nothing to look forward to in life. I'm doing horrible in the relationship department and I find selected major (accounting) horribly unexciting.
So :help:cheer me up (much thanks!)

Then sit back and take solace that you will never be that low.

Re: Help Cheer me Up! (Please)
Go play some Runescape.
Dancing in Lumbridge endlessly seems to make you feel like all the bad stuff in your life is silly. Typing "Lalalalala!" repeatedly while fishing works as well.
Or playing with a kids toy and enjoying it. I still do that

Wait. I'm older than you? Huh. Now I don't feel so bad when you beat me at SF4. It's that young whippersnapper reflex! :laugh4:
Edit: Hey Ice, could be worse man. You could be Vanilla Ice on-top of everything.

Whenever I feel blue or depressed, I sit and read a bunch of Garfield comic strips....or maybe some Calvin and Hobbs.
That always cheers me up.

Ma man, you're only 21, and no matter how much you think you know about life, and no matter how much that little that you do know about life is getting you down, you are barely at the beginning of true individuality. What you will learn and experience just in the next ten years will change you in ways you cannot imagine. You will have entirelly new points of reference to judge your happiness by, and you will learn patience and comfort with life, and you'll be able to find ways inside yourself to deal with and overcome the standard blues of life.
So, yes, you are in the dumps, but in all truth you are supposed to be in the dumps. We were all in the dumps at that age. Especially with relationships. They come and go like the wind and they can be brutal, but they are supposed to be brutal, that's how they shape you. And you have no idea who you are going to meet completely out of the blue who is going to knock your socks off, and maybe, juuuuust maybe, she'll allow you to take her socks off.
So, turn to the classics. Read old books, watch a movie, talk to friends or family, have a beer, eat a pizza, take a bath, visit the Org., do all the little things that make you feel just a little bit better and they all add up and you make it through another day and you have another chance to have a really happy tomorrow, one that makes the whole demented game of life seem worthwhile.
Besides, you've got no choice. Just do what us old farts do and slog through it, baby. :sunny:

Thats so very true. I did mention that though, did I not?
If you thought that was good, you should see how Beefy 'anonymously' confessed his love for me.
Nice
Itchy
Cute
Kick ass.... But would you please stop sitting on me?
Sorry Beefy. :grin2:

Re: Help Cheer me Up! (Please)
What Beirut said. Life can get better at the most unexpected at times, believe me. As for college majors - if its a pain you know there will be a job when you get out.
And besides, you go to PSU. Your football team is so much better than any team in our whole state. :shame: The Apple Cup has become whoever fumbles less. :sweatdrop:

Re: Help Cheer me Up! (Please)
I'll third Beirut, but keep in mind, that the average College student switches majors five times, so you picked up a few extra skills in accounting, that can't hurt. I switched my Law Degree focus from Corporate Law, to Criminal Law, but its pretty common for people to do something radically different. Buck up man, life has barely even started.

Been there, quite a few times.
Let time work on. As for your major, get the hell out of it. There are plenty of stuff out there waiting for you to pick up. Relationships? They lose!

Re: Help Cheer me Up! (Please)
Regarding your major, here you go Ice: Monty Python's take on accountancy
Also, as always, it is hard to go wrong following Beirut's words of wisdom.

Small things like this cheer you up. Find your equivalent and make sure you don't pass it by. ~:)
