Hey Guys,
Durning a Graduate level Old English class of mine, there was much discussion regarding, if ever a film was made about "Beowulf", which actor should play the part.
At the time, opinion was split between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Harisson Ford (Harisson Ford? I love the guy sure, but can you see him pulling the arms off scaley monsters)?.
Well, it seems the movie giants were deaf to our wise counsel, and went ahead with a film production starring Christopher Lambert.
Hmmnnn. Though I feel Mr. Lambert was cheated at the Oscars when his performance as Rayden in Mortal Kombat II was overlooked, I wouldn't go so far as to say that he would have been in my personal Top 10.
I think it went straight to video. That being said, I've yet to see it anywhere.
Has anyone seen it? Is it as bad as my gut tells me to fear?
If so, warn me, or one day I may throw £ 2.50 away renting it.
Now I know the rules about flames and threats, but anyone who asks "who is Beowulf?" is getting a slap. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cg...icons/wink.gif (lol)

Lambert was a good Tarzan, which is sort of like Beowulf.
Or am I drunk?

Oh, yeah man. He was good and the film was good too. But I must mencion that the film is taking place during an "industrial" post nuke earth destruction fantastic period.

It was already made (pretty close, anyways).

Great book - and a FUN movie, too.

Definitely the best Lambert film since Highlander (I). Ok, it`s rather low-budget, but has a strange ambiente and a cool industrial soundtrack. I liked it.

Its soundrack is truly addictive. I say that overall is a good movie. Atmosphere is its best point.
