Fixed a bug which which occasionally allowed factions who were not allied to be invited to join a war
Improved campaign map performance
Republics will no longer dispute a claim to a throne via a war of succession
Fixed a crash when pathfinding for embarking/disembarking
Fixed situation where balance-of-power bar on battle screen was not considering the correct set of reinforcements
Made the decision of which third-party factions can be involved in a campaign battle slightly fairer
Interceptions are no longer suppressed when blockading a port
Fixed rare crash after naval battles
Fixed rare crash caused by successful revolutionary armies containing units that were not permitted for the resulting government type
Fixed crash in AI logic structures
Reduced AI army clustering
Improved AI invasion troop movement
Various light infantry behaviour fixes
Naval and Land unit balancing
General AI improvements

Yeah, I didn't even get passed 1710 in my new 1.4 campaign yet - I will start a new 1.5 campaign later this evening.
I may even get to the end of this one if the fixes are all they're cracked up to be.

One of the goofs that makes me laugh is when I order my General to attack another army and he shouts, "Enemy fleet sighted, Sir!". Gotta cut back on that 3 bottle lunch.:beam:

So does the game finally know the difference between an "attacking" force and a "defending" force? I still can't believe that after 4 patches, when it sallies or intercepts your army it just stands around gazing at its navel like a brainless moron. :furious3:
Surely they must have fixed this bloody obvious bug now?

There is a difference between sallies and intercepts.
In an interception,an army can move into your path, thus, you have to choose to fight them, or leave. (Thus, you are the attacker)
In sallies, you are going out of the castle to remove the seige, thus they are the attacker.

good descriptions of both beskar, however he meant, that when the AI intercepts your army, or sallies out against your army, he hasn't observed them move at all instead he has had to attack them, when they should have been attacking him.

That's right, both times they decided that they wanted to attack me, and then just ran around the walls of the fort, while the cavalry and cannons sat outside the fort watching things rust. I had to attack them, which I didn't want to do, or I'd have assaulted instead of waiting it out.
Also, if they sally while under siege, and they get defeated, shouldn't that break the siege and you get the town? The sieges just seem to continue and I have to attack and defeat them again.

If the AI sallies and you capture/kill all of them then the town goes to you. If they escape, siege goes on.
