How to get horsemen to successfully charge enemy running away (but not routed)?
How to get horsemen to successfully charge enemy running away (but not routed)?
I dont know why it makes a difference for me but I was chasing an army in a city under siege and this army was not running away or retreating per say, it was merely trying to get into the inner walls. But I kept double clicking them and my cavalry would basically start charging then once they reach the point where the enemy was when I clicked on them they stop... so I keep repeating the charge order and they just trot up to the position their army was when I clicked on them, they dont actually pursue the army anymore.
yet when I do this kind thing against armies who are routed I have no such problem, they run up and mow them down like they are supposed to.
Any idea whats going on? :help:

Just tell them to charge once, and then don't keep double-clicking the enemy. I've had issues in the past where the game confuses my double-clicks as a single click and so then it starts walking.
This problem also made it almost impossible for me to get units to run in RTW:wall:
