Play by Email Multiplayer to resurrect old times

Hello RTW players. My name is Caius, and I've been a RTW player since 2006.

It is very sad to see people leaving, specially when people forgets how many times this game has taken away us from doing other things. It's sad, now this sub-forum is almost dead.

What I'm planning to do is to seek any of those players who are willing to Charge once more. I'm proposing you all to take part in this PbEM, this shouldn't take you a lot of time and it is a fun thing. In order to do such a thing I need all the players we can gather, and will.

I have been thinking in calling it "Hispania". A RTW 1.5 Vanilla game with Normal size of units, with Spain as the faction.

How that works? Everyone takes a Faction Member, and there will be meeting where motions will be arosen by the members of the Faction. Then a Poll is created and Members vote. Every player will have to control that character and he will have to behave as he has been told if any motions forces him to do something in special. After Action Report are a must, everyone has to take pictures and write Reports.

What do you say? We need at least, 8 STABLE players to begin. Any changes? Proposals? Counter-Proposals?

I need your opinion.

Don't like Spain very much, but something like Armenia would be fun.

I'm afraid I'll have to bow out of this one, Caius. RL has prevented me from making any strong commitment to pretty much anything e.g. Mafia, interreactive history etc. and unfortunately I can only make a few casual visits once in a while. Regarding to the game, Skull's got a point, Spain isn't exactly the most versatile or attractive faction. Maybe changing it would gather more participants.

It's all too true about what you have said; this subforum is really dying... back in its glorious heydays this form used to be bustling with activities, now there are hardly any post being made daily. The old Colosseum frequenters are mostly gone or inactive, and even Omanes is nowhere to be seen in the Guild as of late. Alas, we have to accept the fact that as time goes on RTW will only further drift away from the newly made games, and perhaps only a remake of the original will reignite people's interest in the old game. There is, however, large fanbases currently existing that are faithful to the RTW modifications. So you're sure collect more players if you posted there, though it would lose the point of trying to resurrect the old 'Colosseum' glory days.

Still my favorite Total War to play! I just have not been very active on any forums, and regrettably will not be able to join. Spain sounds like a great choice though. I love playing as Pontus and Spain.

I argree, no one answers anything(well, most things they don't answer:sweatdrop: ) and I wish for them to come back, I ahve posted in 3 topics, that have gone unnoticed, one to CA, for a new RTW, yet no one comments about it, ETW might be good, but it has lost my vote when i lost everything by trying to exit.
All we have to do is wait(maybe) till they all get it, and then they will come back to RTW :beam:
