The place where a battlefield was opened is a place where people live. Mostly right though, some (always leftist knowologues) will always confuse what they want with what simply is. Can't just decide some things, can't just set out the party-line the world has a way of it's own.

She's a myopic moron whose take on the world is utterly polarised. "The Democrats are wrong because, the Republicans are right because..." appears to be her stand in for analysis.

Iraq was a fly trap for Islamic crazies. Any thought that it might have helped create as many as it killed, or the massive cost to the USA and the world in general, or that Iran is now unopposed in the middle east (bar Israel) as a power? And the fact that the "crazies" are certainly not a spent force despite the massive loss of life doesn't appear to get a mention.

Taliban were removed from in 21 days - is she serious? They had the sense to stop sitting in obvious buildings but they're still in power. She might like to look at the Communist takeover in China or Vietnam to see how utterly facile this fact is.

Elections, schools and electricity = progess / war won.
If the news stated that North Korea was prosperous and free, is it then true? If so the North Korean Press have been saying that for years. Yes, schools are opened, and often firebombed or otherwise destroyed. The generators for the electricity required an armoured convoy. Will it last? If the Taleban want, it's pretty easy to destroy.

It is much easier to get into a war than out of one; Afghanistan should never have been started and Iraq should have been sorted out in 1991.

Looked at the costs of the American health system recently? I have. I did a presentation on it last thursday. Quite scary reading really. How a system can cost so much to so many and treat so few, with truely dreadful health outcomes almost across the board. The per capita state aid systems are almost as expensive as many other countries universal coverage - although only are c. 45% of the total cost!

I didn't know some people still cared about Ann Coulter. More importantly, I didn't know some people still believed the utter pieces of garbage she writes every once in a while.

My 14 year old brother could write a more interesting and more correct analysis. I wonder how these people become famous in the US *shrug*

Edit: And count me in the "I closed the window as soon as I saw the name of the author" category. I'm perfectly willing to read analysis made by the other side of the political spectrum. Poorly written half-arsed propaganda is a whole other matter.

Is your post an example of the type of interesting and correct article that your brother could write? You know what Meneldil? Anyone could say the same thing about half or more of the liberal commentators out there with a lot more to back up what they say. This thread has only one actually criticism of what she wrote...which surprises me, because they usually are just all blind rejections without a bit of rebuttal.

And with that, I was done with the article. Once more, Coulter proves herself to be a petulant child, desperately in need of more attention. Coulter does not appear to be motivated by any more than the desire to promote herself and slander liberalism, multiculturalism, and all else that does not conform with her worldview. She paints with the broadest strokes, and strikes venomously at any who have the gall to point this out.

As to the article, she cannot be taken seriously. ANYONE who is so bias towards one political party and so critical towards another has to have a twisted warp of reality. Just because she is on the right it doesn't mean that the democrats are evil and do everything wrong - it is people like her who create seriously damaging polarisation in society. No time for her.

No system is perfect. For the money that goes in, the American system is far, far worse.
I think that there are many aspects of the NHS that need to be addressed in a systematic manner, rather than merely the occasional cosmetic change - a review here, a reranding exercise there. Most of these would make difficult choices, so don't hold your breath...

Ann Coulter's prejudices does make her a bigoted moron.

Example: I have prejudices against people who drink the Ringnes brand of beer. I don't understand them, I feel sorry for them and I immediately start wondering what's wrong with them. I don't think anyone would consider that as anything other than quite harmless...

Ann Coulter, however, look upon people outside her conservative christian circle as primitive savages with no right to live. That's a very dangerous prejudice, and yes, it makes her a bigoted moron.

When a political commentary purpose is to brainwash the reader, I have every goddam right to be angry phrase deleted by moderator. But then as you said, she's not the only one doing that. She's just really good at spouting nonsense.
When a political commentator writes nonsense, he should be publicly humiliated. This job is way too easy: any moron can write whatever goes through his mind without ever facing the consequences of his own crap.

As for something more correct about Afghanistan:
- Nobody cared about it because everyone focused on Irak
- Things got pretty bad while people focused on Irak
- People realize it and go "ZOMG".
Note that it's also shorter, less biased and probably more accurate than everything produced by Ann Coulter throughout her whole life (despite being a mere oversimplification).
