modding help.. can I play with shieldwall?

I have the following setup. Is there a way to mod it so that I can play with shieldwall or do I have to use the bi.exe to get this feature? Keep in mind that I do have BI installed, but I use alex.exe. I wont switch to bi.exe. If possible, would much have to be modded? Has anyone tried?


for installation process; I followed RTW Gold > Alexander > EB 1.1 > 1.2 > official fixes > minimod pack > LZ3's script adaptation > phalanx mod > RS textures mod > naval strat mod > Lysander's sihunet formations adaptations > EOM 4 Carthaginian Governors Edition > Atraphoenix' RS Legions Adaptation for ALEXANDER EB. (I then modded the Roman reforms to happen sooner - I roleplay that I would do things better than the Romans did, :))

Not possible; shield wall is only available when playing with BI.exe.

Why can you use "night" battles with Alex.exe then? Would trying to mod in the shield wall formation be hard to do?

Eng, maybe I want to add a little. (cough)... Well, shield_wall is not present in Alex.exe at all, but in some installation Night Battles works perfectly (but in some other installation buggy, - for somewhat reason that I don't know very clear). It looks like some of us apparently self modified some files, and not overwritten by the installer. (note: I have my Alex EB and BI EB running from different folder, before I delete my Alex EB because I was unstatisfied with that mod that day.... maybe I'll start searching my Alex disc again and reinstall the newest Alex EB mod in a very clean EB installation and look again on it - After I finish my Kart-Hadast campaign of course! :wink:)
