Windowed mode increases performance?

Hi, title says it all....

I was just unsure, but it works for me. Can anyone tell me the benefits and/or drawbacks of using windowed mode?

Well, windowed mode allows you to do other things while waiting for the AI to finish their turn. But this will slow down your computer if it's a bit outdated. You can also set the resolution lower without making everything blurry, at the cost of having a smaller screen, of course.

It does seem to, yes. And you can use your computer for other things while waiting on turns and loads
