Are you the mitra from the 1C forums? I lurk there sometimes, I don't post.
Could you tell me a bit more about the gameplay experience of Blood of Europe? There isn't much information about the title in English. I know it adds 8 new missions, does it add or alter anything about the base XIIIth Century gameplay?
I played the original XIIIth Century a while ago. Not much as time and work interfered; what little I did play I enjoyed and I keep meaning to go back.
Yes I'm the same Mitra :beam:
Well, the principal differences between Death or Glory and Blood of Europe (a part the new campaign with 8 new battles) are:
- multiplayer lobby (over dedicated server) with ladder
- 3 new units for russian factions
- crossbowmen more stronger
- 2 more western factions and Lithuanian (and subgroup of russian, but we are waiting a ad hoc lithuanian unit now in testing phase)
- battlefield game modality (http://www.totalgamesitalia.com/xiii...scription.html)
- fog-of-war
- better graphic and light effects
- bigger map
- a casual map generator
- improved battle realism (see at example the horse archers tactics explication http://www.totalgamesitalia.com/xiii...rs-tactic.html )
If you enjoyed Death will be the same for Blood. The game played in multi against human player is great (you can see my videos, the others are in the same forum of that linked)
This is a different video type: I added annotations about the some game concepts when they happen in the replay. Enjoy it.

You're making me want to play the game again! Shame I don't have time at the moment. Perhaps over the christmas holidays ... :charge:
Anyone with an interest in medieval field battles should take a look at Mitra's videos. The 'Clash of Steel' series linked to in the quote below demonstrate the scale XIII Century: Blood or Glory can offer.

If someone is interested to XIII Century Blood of Europe (GOld Edition in the Aspyr edition), he's sold at 20,99 euros in Steam. Applying manually the patch 2.2.1, after the steam installation (here the link to patch, http://www.totalgamesitalia.com/xiii...html#post2944; is compose by two files, one with the patchs and the others with the english translation), you free the game from Steam control and limits.

Is there a campaign similar to total war or just a series of battles?
It's a series of historical battles. Difficult battles - you really have to work to win.
There's a multiplayer mode as well. Not played it but IIRC you can set up custom battles. I don't recall if custom battles are possible for the single player game.
EDIT: I've changed the thread's title so it includes XIII Century as well, since there's a lot of content here for that game. Might attract a bit more attention.
Yes, it's possible also in single player, play custom battle.
The developers are creating a tournaments functionality over the server, which will permit to manage them (create rules,match,scores,etc..).
A demo for XIII Century Blood of Europe\Real Warfare:1242 will be released soon.
How about this? I split the topic into two. One for both XIII Century games, and the original one for Real Warfare. I changed the title of the Real Warfare thread back to how it originally was. The two threads can be merged again if you prefer but I think they are different enough to deserve their own discussions.
The Real Warfare thread has slipped onto our second page because there aren't any recent posts in it. You can find it here next time you have news to share.
I notice Gamersgate are running what they call a 1C advent calendar. Each day until christmas day there is a new offer on a game published by 1C. Here's hoping Blood of Europe appears on one day, I'd almost certainly buy a copy if they reduced it. At the moment Blood of Europe costs the same as the gold pack featuring both games.
Thanks Frog. Hope me too Gamersgate will sell at reduced price. The problem is to remember all the days to see. Why they don't give before the date?

If there's a particular game you want to see a price drop on, Gamersgate has a new feature which allows you to set up a request for email notification when a game drops in price. It's a red button on the game's page. That gives a bit more chance to catch it if it does appear on the sale.
I've tagged Blood of Europe and King's Bounty: Armoured Princess with it. 1C has 39 individual titles listed on gamersgate, which means most of them should feature in the 24 day sale.
Thanks Frog.
In Amazon you can purchase the game for 9,95 dollars (Gold Edition contains both Death or Glory that Blood of Europe):

For better organize the meetings in lobby, we create a Xfire group linked to our portal: http://www.xfire.com/communities/sptita/ . Xfire support XIII Century Gold Edition (attention can be necessary set manually the path of game in the software game detect section) All the players of XIII are invited to inscribe: is very useful for organize online matchs in lobby.
I picked the gold pack up. £9.99 for the expansion and a second copy of the main game is better than £19.99 for the expansion alone. I was intending to recommend the deal in the bargain thread but the org server was playing up and I couldn't get the thread to open. Gah!
Might hit the campaing trail today. :charge:
I take contact with also one of betatesters which will give answers about the battle mechanics questions in our forum; I have already asked something to him: at example the difference between the axe and the sword in battle: he tell me the axe kill\disable always when the hit is not parried, the sword is lesser lethal can only wound if the adversary have a good armour. but the axe is more slow respect the sword, so for each axe hit you will count 2 or 3 sword hits.
