Models for RTW: Blender

So far I've only noticed people using 3ds max to model for RTW modifications. Is there any other software compatible or is it only 3ds max? In other words, for instance, can I not keep using Blender and just apply that to Rome? Anyone have any experience with doing this?

I think Milkshape is also a possiblity. I hear of some modders using that as well.

In the end its all about which is program is supported to convert its files in to cas or item files, which is what RTW needs. I'd say have a look at Vert's cas importer/exporter to see if it supports other programs than 3dsmax :)
