Hi all, I hope this is the right place to post this.
I am currently hosting a mafia type game based on Mortal Kombat. Since this game actaully involves combat, I am hoping to embed a video of the battle into each update.
I was having a look through the BB code to see if there was anything i could use and notice there is no BB code for youtube videos.
There is however BB code for embedding WMV files
Example below.
Given that youtube is the formost site used to host videos and finding a place to host WMV files is a pain.
Is it possible to request youtube video functionality?

no - not untill you click play, so you won't be wasting bandwidth.
Or at least that is my understanding.

Yeah, and this functionality is available. Tosa does not actually write all these functions. He receives updates from a common template software (this forum looks exactly like Simple Machines ones, but for some reason it is vBulletin instead :dizzy2:) which have the functions, only requiring for the admin to enable them. And since TWC has the YouTube embedd functionality, then so can our forums if Tosa consents. (both operate on the same software AFAIK - even if not, basically any comparable software has the same function)

I wonder if the rules regarding signatures will have to be updated regarding this latest "discovery."

I don't even think you really need to enable anything to allow it. At other sites, it seems you just create a tag that allows HTML input. So something like [youtube]<youtube embed link>[/youtube].
