Re: Diplomats=Moneymakers
Well this is common knowledge.
But on which campaign settings are you playing? It seems wierd that factions have such money to offer, especially in the early campaigns. They usually give just a few K in the beginnig of the campaign
Re: Diplomats=Moneymakers
I play on middle campaign ! Yeah its common knowlegde but not that the KI offers so much
Re: Diplomats=Moneymakers
Btw. It's Mnai, not Mnari. Mnari is a tunesian football-player
Re: Diplomats=Moneymakers
Your right ! didnt realized that ! Mnari is playing for Nürnberg
Re: Diplomats=Moneymakers
Yeah, diplomats saved my money budget for a few times so i didn't go red in debt. In my experience, selling trade rights/map information works only if a player has very little money: I've never managed to sell trade rights/case fire/map information when i was approx. 5k in plus.
I have one trick which saved my Pontos (or Pahlava?) campaign: I've send my diplomat into Italy and proposed this to Romaioi: "give us 10 000 minai, and we will pay 5 000 per turn for 5 turns"; Barbaroi accepted that, and they gave me my 10 000 minai. After that, with the same diplomat i canceled our deal and i haven't give them a penny. I received some "transgression" message then but i didn't care: Romaioi were sooo far away from my lands :laugh4: And, yeah, after a few turns, i did the same once again :smash:
Re: Diplomats=Moneymakers
It would have been funny should the Romans have assassinated that diplomat.

They stopped doing that after I sacked Rome though.
