Beta Release Preview:

A Good Day to you all.

The moment of a First Release has finally arrived for "Ran No Jidai" a Modification for RTW: Barbarian Invasion.
It will come in form of a Beta Release, which means not everything is bug-free yet, but the player will surely enjoy the experience when playing the first version of this mod.

Many people have worked on this little gem for the past couple of years.
Modleadership has changed, members joined,contributed and left, fans held on to hope or could no longer cope with the waiting and also had to leave.
But now finally after all this time of work, setbacks, crashed harddrives and alot of hours spend the mod is ready to be seen and experienced by the public community.

Time to show you what this release is all about, the list of Beta features:

-Custom Battles:

9 Different Custom Battlemaps chosen all around Japan with various landscape types ranging from Mountains and Forests to Coastal Maps, Bridges and Japanese Settlements to be conquered.

-Clans:

The ability to play 21 Japanese Clans who existed in the Sengoku Jidai era.

-Historically Accurate Units:

Ranging from Daimyo's on Horseback to Ronin's with a mere Katana to defend themselves from their enemies.

-Historically Accurate Buildings:

Japanese Settlements to be besieged by you, or you, who may find yourself defending your City from the enemy Daimyo's forces.

-Historical Battles:

2 Historical Battles to be played which give extra atmosphere to the game, including a historically accurate Prelude,Battle and Aftermath Report.

-Masterworks of 2D art:

Giving extra atmosphere to the game when you scroll the menu's or wait for the battles to load.

-Quotes:

Citating various Daimyo's and generals who lived during the Times of Chaos period.

- A New Battlehud and Main Menu Background all focused on a Japanese style.

-SFX:

Using the original music samples of Shogun:TW AND original voices of Shogun:TW units, making you believe you have truly entered the land of the rising sun.
