Swords and D20's Minimafia: The City of Doors [Concluded]

Another mini mafia. need to get this out of the way before my Small mafia game. I hope the setting is not getting old for any of you.... :sweatdrop: I promise no 2 of my games will be alike. (probably.... :juggle2:)

Ahhhh Sigil, the city of doors! The hub of the outer planes, and one of the greatest cities ever! A sprawling mess, it is situated on the inner side of the outer planes Spire. Sunlight never reaches this strange ringed city, only a strange light glow premates the air. Thousands bustle through its streets, people off all races and groups. Dwarfs stand by Drow, who stand by Archons and Devils. All converge in this great city. Our newest story has a little change of scenery! Far from Nowhere our party has converged, Gesundheits Delvers. Always hunting for a way to save their trapped companion, the group has traveled to sigil hoping that here they can finally find a lead to freeing there wizard friend. However…. Little do they realize that it is simply a setup. A sham to let an old enemy get her final revenge. Haley has been trying for years to finally end her old companion Roy, and her quest has turned into an obsession. When the Delvers and herself are trapped in a tavern from Sigil, who’s quest would be ending, and how?

Haley floated an inch above the ground, her lower body a patchwork of smoke formed into a rudimentary leg shape. Her face was a deep sirk as she stared down at a group of 4 men working their way through the city streets. They laughed and slapped each other’s backs as they walked, obviously in good spirits. Reonk walked to her side, his face a blank sheet with features, his disguises all having been shed.
“You’re risking a lot with this Haley….. The margin of error is huge.” He sounded concerned, his small beady eyes trained on Haley.
“Yes, but think of the delicious irony? What would make my revenge as great than to beat them at there own game? Twice they have been placed into a situation of this type, and both times they have succeeded. This time, when they fail, they will know exactly my rage. They will lose ALL hope before me, and only then will I kill them.” Haley shivered at the thought, her tongue licking her lips “It will be simply Delicious…. Worth every second of wait.”
Reonk sighed “As you wish then. Everything is going according to plan. The party is headed towards the tavern, where I have already established everything for our arrival and theirs.”

Haley nodded, till staring down at the party “Perfect. Then we are all set.”
Reonk looked at her strangely “Haley….. What is going to happen if you do succeed? What will you do? Where will you go?”
The wraith looked disconcerted at the question “What? I….. I’m not sure. I have never given it any thought before. Why in the nine hells would you ask me a silly question like that?” Haley scowled at the doppelganger before turning and walking off “come on, we need to go to the tavern.” Reonk smilled at her before following

Blackadder had been a bit doubtful of his new teacher’s skills, he will admit that. One does not expect sorcerers of any skill to come from the Halfling stock after all. But she was the real deal after all, and he was sure she could teach him to better control and use his own sorcerous talent.
“Now, I am feeling famished and parched, I would like to head to a tavern. Your buying by the way, the least you can do for the time I am wasting tutoring your talentless :daisy:” Blackadder smiled and nodded, falling in step behind the small Halfling women.
They walked through the city streets, Vicky babbling about some obscure aspect of enchantment magic, and Blackadder could not help but smile. Things were looking a lot better than before at least! He stared ahead towards the Oaken reach tavern, and his jaw almost dropped to the ground. There, no more than 100 feet ahead of him, was a group of people he had never expected to ever see again. He looked at Schism and AVSF, and Isamu with fear in his eyes…. This could only mean one thing…. The Plot had finally caught up to him. God :daisy: being recurring NPC’s, its like the gods are trying to get you brutally maimed!
“Come on you big oaf! Into the bar!” Vicky slapped Blackadders rump, and he moved into the bar, his eyes still trained on the party of adventurers headed this way.

Stupid plot….. Never did anything good for him before…….

“Did your contact say why we have to meet them in this particular bar Isamu?” Roy looked around warily “Need I remind you the Gehenna incident?” He scowled slightly, still looking a bit paranoid.

Isamu sighed “Roy, how many times are we going to bring that up? I said I was sorry, but the women assured me the noodles were still fresh! No one could have foreseen what that Daemon would do!”

AVSF cut in, his lute out and strumming “In retrospect it is a pretty funny story though. I mean come on, Schism could not sit down for a month!” He laughed and started singing a country song.

Schism cut in, looking annoyed “we all agreed never to talk about Gehenna. Don’t break that promise.”

The entire group had long since stopped moving forward, being right outside there destination.
Isamu rubbed his hands together, sounding nervous “Alright, we go in, talk with the contact, stay alert. And then get out with our intel. All very quiet like. Roy you cover the entrence, anyone comes in looking funny than you flank ‘em. AVSF….. Just stand by the bar, if we need anything dead we will call you.”
AVSF smiled “Cool.”
“Schism, you cover me while I talk with the con tact. Keep an eye on Roy in case he needs help.” Isamu looked around everyone got that?”

AVSF nodded and spoke “Alright then old chums, lets do this!” He charged into the bar, his lute still out and pointed like a weapon before him “LEEEERRRRRROOOOOYYYYYY!”
Roy sighed “ever since he became a bard It has been nothing but Meme after Meme…. I can’t take this guys.”
“True, but he could go on talking about the Plot again…… That might just be worse…..” Isamu shudders.
“Come on you two, let’s go!”

Reonk Watched the PC’s enter the tavern, grinning. “We are all set for the grand reveal Haley.”

The Wraith smiled “Excellent. Just one more thing to do then.” She reached to the ground, picking up a bracer. He incorporeal hands grew solid as the cool bronze touched her, and when she put the thing around her arm her body became tangible and corporal. She touched the ground with her feet in for the first time in decades. She smiled even wider “it works.”

Reonk bowed “I assured you it would. Very good wizard made it, cost a fortune.”

Haley grinned like a child “then let us begin.” She started striding towards the Taverns front door, Reonk following beside her.

The Oaken reach was having a slow day. Then again, the bartender thought, every day here was pretty slow. He shrugged and began wiping a glass with his rag, only looking up when the party of adventurers entered the room. PC’s, that means lots of cash, the man thought with a grin.

But the next group that walked in…. Not sure what that was? Looked like a pair of Adventurers, but one was obviously a doppelganger. Weird. But the bartender just shrugged, weirder things have walked through his doors here in sigil.
Roy froze when he felt almost a chill in the air around him, and he turned around puzzled.
He wasn’t ready for what he saw…..
Haley was standing, looking as alive as could be expected, that doppelganger friend of hers at his side.
“oh.” Was all he could say before the room blackened with magical darkness. Two screams pierced out and the entire bar erupted in a kind of panic. It was 2 minutes before the light came back on, the door was locked and everyone looked like they were OK. All seven stood around, looking shocked and standing ready for a fight.

But nothing appeared changed…. Except a small note on the bar counter. It read in neat letters the following.

Twice you have played and succeeded, but now you face the greates opponent of all. The door opens when both I and my friend are dead, and we will only leave when you are all dead. We have taken control of 2 of the people in the bar, now find us. Most should know the rules by now. So hop to it, before you are all dead.

Everyone was shocked, and Roy pointed to the barkeep, “hey you, can you keep a tally? We will be needing one. Lets get a-lynching….. “

Andre had noticed the entry of the Haley woman when she first entered the tavern. With a looker like that, its hard not to notice. He'd have to say, she was definitely the best looking of the bunch in the room. Without even considering his current condition, he immediately began considering the best ways to approach her. He started to check his hair when he remembered.

Even though he knew it was his own fault, he still blamed that blasted wizard. Yeah, he knew he pushed his luck, but those twins were just so fine, how could he not try?

Damn that wizard, he'd polymorphed him into a stupid fly. About the only thing he could do now is alight upon the bosoms of such beautiful women and this Haley seemed like a good one to do so.

With the current events of the room though, he though he may want to wait and instead pick a nice spot in the room to watch this unusual drama unfold. Things looked like they were about to get interesting.

Before we continue, two things:

I want the game host to confirm that Methos is definitely not playing the game. I'm quite familiar with game twists as you well know, so I want to be clear this is a 7-player, and no outsider, and no game host also playing the game, kind of game.

And also, can I get some more support on Diamondeye?
