RIP WW2 vet, you served us well.
Just found out today that a WW2 vet that was a good friend of my dads passed away. He was a Demolitions expert in the pacific and was one of the first to hit the beaches at Iwo Jima. I never got to meet him but we had set up a day when I was going to interview him on his life experiences, I was really sad to hear of his passing.
His name was Joe Beadey.
This RIP also goes out to all the other WW2 vets who are no longer with us.

RIP Joe Beadey, sometimes you forget people actually did that

R.I.P. Too bad he wasn't able to share his experiences with you, undoubtedly he would have had a lot to say.

That generation is passing quickly and it's a shame you never got to interview him. I'm sure he had an interesting story to tell. Semper Fi, Joe Beadey.
