Hello from Montreal
Hello everyone,
I just joined the forum, something I should have done long ago, being a hardcore Total War fan when Rome Total War first came out. I felt in love with this game, finally a strategy game with a realistic combat mechanic. Since then I completed campaigns with various factions (Scipii, Brutii, Greek Cities, Parthia, Carthage) and played both expansions (Alexander and Barbarian Invasion) and played MTW2 completing a campaign with the french (being one myself :P ). When I became a hardcore fan of the serie I started to be curious about the real tactics used by generals in ancient battles and I discovered a world that still fascinates me today. I mastered various type of combats (the infamous anvil and hammer, the full out missile attacks, the horse archers tactics, etc) and I always keep trying to find new ways of defeating an ennemy on the battlefield. I hope I will be ressoursful for people in help and I'm sure I will find new strategy to employs with the knowledge from this forum. I currently have nearly all games of the serie (RTW, MTW2 and ETW) and quite frankly, I'm not sure which one to play now. I liked MTW2 but this game kind of miss somethings that was cool in RTW ( got to hate the stupid pope thing and experiencing everything the campaign has to offer just take ages to complete one). I just saw that most people are still playing old installements of the serie so I might go back to RTW and play with the Europa Barbarum mod to complete the Baktria campaign I have started.

Re: Hello from Montreal
Hey Andres,
Doing well, thank you.
Screwed the pooch today, though. We put a section of a tree right through the hydro wires. Poop happens. But this poop is going to cost us several hundred. At least no one got hurt.
Life is good, and always nice to visit The Org. :sunny:
Off to the Babe Thread.
