I did a simple mod of the early.txt file to make the minor faction major. No bugs encountered till now. Playing as the sicilians, my princess' never show up on the map. The royal listing shows them, but clicking on their name crashes the game to the desktop. Also, they never die, I have a 135 year old princess. Anyone else seen this?
Check the early.txt(or whatever) to be sure she is located in a sicilian province. I had some problems like this while making my own 987 mod.....
i also found moving the king OUT of sicily helped,
the new princesses appear where the king IS,
so it is wise to have all princess not yet of age first turn, AND move the king out of sicily on that turn,
THEN the princesses will appear as normal...

I read this a while ago, but now that I think about it, I'll bet it's the "AddHeir" bit in the startpos text. You might have to add one for Sicily, and if you do, see if there's a "AddHeir: 0", which whould tell the game to add an underage princess. The next number should be the princesses age at the start, so like 7 or so.
Try to upload your mod to the test beta upload thing so maybe people could look at it.

I had no problems with a Aragon mod I made, although I only played about 20 turns. Did you add title and offices for royal palace through cathedral? I just took the offices in startpos for the Swiss and changed it to Aragon. I also added a princess to show up 3 turns into the game without problem.
