Battle logs?

Hey all!

I've seen quite a few posts now with ppl talking about how they checked their "battle logs", and how they could find there precious information about the specifics of one battle, such as the indiviual exp gained by each man (not unit, man), or the number of kills of the general.
And of course there is this empty "logs" directory in the M2TW main directory.

I'm very interested in such intel, so my question is pretty straightforward : how do you record those logs?

Cause I've checked all game options, all console commands, and I can't find it.

I don't know anything about this feature... Are you sure these people are not reffering to another TW game ? Or another game altogether ?

Perhaps you could point us to those posts mentioning this feature ?

I consider myself a veteran of the franchise and I'm reknowned for pushing the game to its limits but I've never heard of such a feature... I'd like to be pointed towards it if it exists... Could be fun

I've been wondering myself if maybe he's talking about MTW (I know the feature existed in this one), but on the other hand the thread he's posting in is clearly unambiguous, and he's talking about a log where "all triggers are logged"...

So, is it a bluff or what?

I have heard of a spreadsheet which tracks all your kills/ deaths. When you say 'logs directory' have you been into that and/or is it empty?

It is no bluff but a simple misunderstanding I think...

The log to which alpaca refers is an error log used by modders to see how the different triggers related to traits/ancillaries or events work/ don't work... It doesn't list any stats concerning the kills made by a unit/single character, but only if that unit/character has matched the threshold stated to gain the according trait or ancillary...

Maybe PMing alpaca could confirm this...

Alright the triggers part is what I wanted anyway.

Do you know how to produce this "trigger log"?

You should post that question in the M2TW modding forum or send alpaca a PM asking for explanation... I've never done any hardcore modding and I've never had need of these logs...

The *trace option allows, among other things, to monitor all triggers for traits, ancillaries...
