How many Middle Earth mods are in the making and what's the difference between them? (for example, are they all taking place in the 3rd age and follow the LOTR story?)
The Whitey team (including me) is making a Middle Earth Mod in the third age and tries to kick in the moment around the time where the fellowship is formed in the book/movie. We focus on SP as well as on MP. We will try to stay as close to the book as the engine allows us. We are going for a full mod with new map, units, castles, etc. The progress is already pretty far but not ready yet for a first real beta test.

As far from what I've seen from other modders is that everyone makes something different. The lion King mod for instance tries to make a LOTR mod without using a middle earth map. Other modders are aiming for battle maps for MP.

oh and we are making a whole mod with map and new units and we will start at the end of the second age of the sun
We are currently trying to make things bug free but yes, our map is playable for a few turns. Graphical wise (MapTex, LukMap, faction select screen, minilukup) things are ready but some improvements are still being made. We are now making everything bug free before we continue any further. If the errors are solved we would have a test mod with modded campaign map, modded factions and modded unit statistics.Quote:
