Post validation of the forum software does not seem to work (bug in forum software).

For some reason it ended up empty; but originally it was a slightly different phrased version of my second attempt: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showt...=1#post2498530

This suggests that over the forum upgrade a crucial bit of forum software ended up broken: previously one could not post without including at least 3 characters of your own, so such post validation logic should've caught this error and rejected attempt #1. Or alternatively the forum/database ate my post and is currently mulling over the efficiency of various types of engines. :juggle:

Yes, quite odd. I thought there might be some content embedded but invisible, but when I attempted to quote your #1 (which should have revealed any content) I got the usual "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 3 characters."

Momentary anomaly? I can't reproduce it. Can you do it again?

Trouble is: I don't know how I did it, because as far as I was aware I posted a proper reply to a thread and it got eaten.
