June Screenshot Competition!
Hello and welcome again to yet another screenshot competition. This time ! took the liberty of hosting it. As Duguntz said, this ''tradition'' has to be continued! Hereby this month's competition is declared open! May the best shot win!
Rules
-One submission per person per month
-Must be from EB
-No picture editing for this month's competition (again)
-Only slight cropping will be allowed (small pictures are ok, just not extreme cropping)
-Please keep the dimensions to a size that fits in the forum screen (maximum of 1024ish)
-Must obey forum rules
Suggestions
-Turn off banners
-Turn off arrows and/or deselect your units
-Make sure the cursor, "Paused", and map border aren't showing
-Crop out the UI (though too much cropping may get your pic disqualified)
Limit for subscription of your screenshot : 25 June
I removed the "No elephant" because I would like to see what that would bring us this month.
The poll will be PUBLIC this time. Issues like we had last month can be spotted easier and cheating like we have seen last month will of course get the person disqualified.
Good luck to everyone!

Re: June Screenshot Competition!
Can I suggest something for the poll?: What about a limit of at least 50 (or whatever number seems suitable) forum posts to be allowed to vote? That way, it will be even more difficult to create fake accounts. I mean you could make a bogus account, post a few times in the forum and then vote for your own pic. With a post limit, this would probably be too time consuming to be worthwile. Of course, such a limit won't be necessary in order to participate in the competition, only to vote.
EDIT: On the other hand, you would have to go through all voters and check their post count. Maybe not such a good idea after all...
EDIT2: Btw, does the "no picture editing" rule include removing the pause sign and mouse cursor in photoshop?

Re: June Screenshot Competition!
People actually cheat in such competitions? LOL... What's the point of that?
-
Re: June Screenshot Competition!
i dont think you can make a limit on the number of votes in a poll. all you can do is make it public.

Read the post in May Screenshot Competition Poll thread...
Hmm, a lot of controversies arose in last month competition… To avoid it, I will not enter this month, whether I’ll choose what-number of SS from what-number or not….
I’ll save my SS and looking forward for next month competition…
Actually I don’t want to choose any number of participants… personally I want to let all participants enter the competition…I only want to choose 1 in standard pooling system at the end of the month.
ADD: Elephant SS will be enable in this month competition... you don't always get this chance.. next month is uncertain...

Just for kicks I'm going to post a shot of a 4-team free for all with all elephants on each team.
Just kidding....

Re: June Screenshot Competition!
Congrants intifadanyz
I think we need the best 10 so that the votes would be more concentrated IMO
Anyway, my submission
- Die you Pyrrhic Dog!-
~Jirisys (winner of a vote in last month's )

No, no, no, you're misunderstanding me. My suggestion was that to be allowed to vote in the poll, you must have posted at least 50 times in the forums.
I've not said anything about a limit of votes in the poll.
Anyway, it would be too difficult to manage such a thing, so never mind.
EDIT: Removed the quotation of intifadanyz. I misread his post.

Re: June Screenshot Competition!
In the interest of full disclosure, I admit I have edited this with paintshop, but only to smudge out the cursor. I didn't want to remove any more of the pyramids by cropping, nor did I want the cursor to show, so I hope this small thing is accepted. Beyond that, I haven't altered a thing.

I am glad to see no no elephants rule

I can see that :laugh4:
Well, here's mine:
-Night Battle-(I'm incredibly imaginative in coming up with names, ain't I? :P)
I had to make the picture smaller to fit in. If you have a large monitor, check this one instead, as it looks much better and sharper in full scale.

Of course, no problem.

I've taken the suggestion back, as it wasn't very good. But the point was to avoid the problem with fake accounts that we had in the last poll. If the user has posted at least 50 times, it's very unlikely that the account is fake. But still, never mind. :)
Damn, I'm writing too much in this thread :clown:

Really, really good. With the spears towering over the right side it looks just like a medieval painting.
