Is it possible to make Allied Generals FMS?
Yeah pretty much what the title says. I was just wondering cause I think it would be nice to have someone not related to the family to come to power. But afaik this isn't possible, but i haven't done any research on this so I ask you now. Thanks ahead

If he becomes man of the hour after a large fight, he can be integrated into your royal family. Just like captains.

Really? Thats good, thanks :) Just one thing, is it easier for them to become FMs as oppossed to captains? I mean Iwin heroic victorys with captains all the time and I get like 1/20 becomes a Man of the Hour

Depends on your ratio of cities and FMs IIRC. If you have a lot of cities and very little FM's, you will get adoption reports every turn and people become man of the hour with great ease. If you have a large royal family and not that much cities, it will be very hard/near impossible.
I don't think that there is a difference between captains' and generals' chances of becoming a FM.

Re: Is it possible to make Allied Generals FMS?
is it important that he has children? bribed generals rarely if ever have offspring, though perhaps adopted ones do
Re: Is it possible to make Allied Generals FMS?
yeah, bribed generals, very rarely have children :/ i remember back in vanilla, before the patches, as Gauls i bribed 5 or something in total of the Julii family.
Kinda lucky, as my family had a little accident on a boat trip to Britain afterwards, but nevermind that :p
Anyway, those 5 were the last remaining FM's i had, and still controlled everything i did at the start + a chunk of Iberia, all i got was 2 boys (after some 10 years waiting) and a girl.
that was it :/
EDIT: Man of the hour though, seems to have none of these problems :b
Re: Is it possible to make Allied Generals FMS?
Playing with Pahlava i noticed that all of my generals became FMs when the time of march ocurred :/
Re: Is it possible to make Allied Generals FMS?
Although, when an allied general becomes Man of the Hour, I don't think he loses the Allied General trait - which means he'll still get imposter in Type III and better cities. Makes it harder to have kids, since generals tend to get married and get busy in town rather than on the campaign trail.
Hmmm.... I've never actually gotten an Allied General -> Man of the Hour -> Faction Leader. I wonder if he still gets Imposter when he's the faction leader or heir :).
Re: Is it possible to make Allied Generals FMS?
It should theoretically be possible to make both a an allied general FM and remove his allied trait through the TrivialScript (I think), but I have no idea how to do it.
