MS Word: Footnotes/Endnotes to Bibliography. Is it possible?

Is it possible to have Word build a bibliography from footnotes or endnotes that have not been supplied with the "new citation" procedure? Rather, is it possible to have it scan and list all footnotes/endnotes into a single list so that you can manually build a bibliography section from them?

Probably. That's the kind of thing Macros are for (not that I would know how to write one for MS Word, I tried my first Open Office one just now.)
