RTW AAR - From Humble Beginings (Ponitc AAR)

Hi everyone, my First AAR will be in the Italics below, please tell me anything I can improve on, Pictures will be in the other chapters. Remember to give me some good points and improvements so I can make it better.

Prologue
Pontus. We have eagerly kept that name with pride for Years. Decades. We are the true Sons of Alexander, and we will show the world that. Our Banners Will be Paraded through all the lands in the East. We will tell Tales of how we defeated the other nations, of our Glory and our Conquest. First I will tell my Tale from the Start.
It would be better for me to introduce myself to you. I am Pharotes of Lycia.

I was born in a Farm near the Borders of Ancyra in Lycia, but we fled to Sinope when I was 2. The Barbarians burnt my only home, and for some time we lived on the streets, my Father, was a Lycian, and he was levied into the army there. When we moved, he joined the Pontic armies and earnt enough money to buy a small house. For several years I lived with my mother and father near the centre of Sinope. My father was trained and sent to defeat a Incursion by the Seleucids’.

When he returned he mesmerized me for Days, with tales of battle, and scared me with the brutality of the Seleucid Generals. How War Ruins a Man, or it makes him stronger. When I was 16 I was Trained to Battle by my father before I went to a Barracks.
I moved house to a smaller house nearer the Barracks.
My Tale Begins in Sinope.

Chapter 1.
The Dawn of War
It was always a hard days work training in the barracks. In the morning, I’d go to the barracks, Exercise, practise combat and Formations, then do laps of the Barracks, before returning home late in the evening. This for 5 Days a week. But its all for the best. I stay trim and it keeps me orderly and correct. However today was different.
The Door was knocked on in the Morning while I was getting Dressed, I came down, and they led me to the barracks, I was handed my Shield, and Sword, a Uniform and was told to wait with the other men. My friend Archamedes was close. He looked and saw me.

“Pharotes” He Whispered, looking attentively as he did so.
“What’s going on Archamendes?” I replied.
“ I think we are going to war Pharotes” He said with distinct Shock
“War? With who? When?” I too was in Shock. I couldn’t believe it, War? It was too long since I’d heard the dreadful word. My father always told me about War, and how it ruins lives. I chose my Path long ago, and it was too late to turn back.
“Pharotes, to tell you the truth, I don’t know, but that’s the rumour, War. The King has been training an Army well equipped, or so believed to sustain a Long term War. So it must be a powerful adversary.”
“Archamendes, where ever we go to battle, I will fight with you till the end.”
“I will too My friend, Brother’s in Arms we shall be.

“TROOPS!” The Barracks Trainer, Meybades had come back.
Meybades was well known for his short temper and his strict Regime.
“Today we shall regroup with Forces from Mazaka, and March for the Town of Tarsus. Follow the Generals Orders and fight well, and you can enjoy a Marvellous Achievement.
Archamendes looked back at me
“He’s speaking as if we are at Tarsus. Bet the old man can’t find his Spear without help from the Slaves.”
I would have Laughed aloud, if I weren’t in a crowd of Soldiers.
Meybades walked to the Gates and opened them
“FORWARD MARCH!”
