The GM will judge, at the turn limit and based on evidence in the form of screenshots provided by the players, which player has the most achievements and is therefore the winner.

In addition, the following rules should be observed:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 

- Players shall post a link to the save game in the main game thread and also send a private message to the next player in line to alert them that it is their turn. The save game file should follow the naming convention GA-turn number-faction (eg. GA-1-England)
- Each player has 48 hours from the time the link is posted to complete their turn and post the link for the next player in line.
- Battles can be fought or auto-resolved.
- Spies may not be used to open any gates: settlements, castles or forts.
- No reloading the save to repeat any action at all.
- No in-game crusades or jihads may be joined by any human player. If a crusade is called by the Pope it shall be ignored. Crusades and jihads which are role-played and do not use the in-game mechanic are permitted.
- No destroying buildings for cash in a city that's under siege.
- No fighting losing defensive battles on purpose in a besieged city, just to deny the invader the sacking option.
- No exploits, including (but not limited to): no merchant forts, no surround and destroy, no tribute deals that deliberately put you into debt greater than 10k, no deliberate diplomatic exchange of territories just to get a free garrison, no tribute deals with or monetary gifts to the Pope.

If a player is in doubt about whether an in-game action is permissible he shall consult the GM who will make a ruling. Players are requested to compete in a good spirit and use their judgment and sense of fairness at all times.

If a player is suspected of cheating, please make a private report to the GM and avoid making a public accusation or resorting to flaming in the game thread or elsewhere.

with u switching to rome and the hre being human ruled too i ll have to switch. would have liked to give hungary a shot but im not going to be the girl in middle position in a 3some with 2 major powers... i ll go for milan then instead

Ya, but doesn't hungry have all that room to expand to the west and up. Poland and Russia shouldn't give you any problems. That's just my thinking though :)

Changed plans at work. I got home at around 4 AM, had time for about seven hours of sleep and then I was off to work again at noon. So, this will be delayed a bit more. If I have the power, I'll do it when I get home tonight. Otherwise, tomorrow morning.

Ok, the turn is done. However, I think I should point out that the game mode is currently set to auto-resolve only. I, at least, was unable to fight the battle for York myself. If that's the way we want it, fine by me. Otherwise, I guess I'll have to redo the turn once phonics gives me a new one.

well if it was an ordinary campaign maybe but with the new achievement settings in place its not about expanding only anymore. all i d get out of expanding to russia and poland are mostly small towns and wooden castles thats all. wont go places like that really

but for some reason unknown to me I can't get it to work - I have edited the preference file but it is not reading it and keeps over-writing it with default hotseat preferences

btw everyone I'm still debating with silver over which faction he will play. originally I picked milan but when I saw the east was virtually empty, with just egypt and hungary competing for the whole of the levant, anatolia and greece, I switched to byzantium for the sake of balance

now silver says he wants to switch to milan! which sort of defeats the purpose...so I have offered to switch to turkey instead of byzantium and I hope he accepts that and will stay as hungary

all this means I may have to intervene in between someone's turn to re-jig the faction lineup..

Tristan said he'd be offline from the 23rd to the end of the month. I have tried to get him to nominate a sub and leave some instructions but he has not done so.

It's not quite the 23rd yet where he is so I'm hoping he'll pop up with the save before he goes...

If he does not I can do this little trick where I move France to the back of the turn order - I just need barca's autosave (which will still be on the England turn) to do it - barca, can you please upload that for me and pm it to me?

"Puts väck" = Disappeared, in Swedish. "Fahren" = Going, in German. So, well, my father has always used the expression, as a mixture between German and Swedish, probably totally unofficial, put pretty much spot on for something that can't be found. Awesome word, indeed! ;D

I received a PM inviting me to this hotseat but at the time my M2TW was not installed and I did not want to be late in joining the game or in any way hold it up. Luckily for me, events seems to have led to a slight delay. If phonicsmonkey will still have me I would like to take control of the Moors if that is OK with everyone else. I look to forward to being a part of the game.

Use it as you see fit. I'm comfortable with the fact that a ballista can open the gates - on the battlemap it takes ages and sometimes is not successful anyway, meaning if you're going to use them for that you will still have to wait a few turns to get it right or autoresolve. Plus I'm inclined to see the siege equipment somewhat metaphorically....

I'm having a problem, whenever I try to load the save it crashes. I tried loading Englands turn to see if it was just the spain file, but that crashed too. It says M2TW 1.03 in the game, but I assume that means patch 1.3? Otherswise I have VanillaMod .93; I downloaded the fix .93b for Vanilla, but that didn't fix the problem. Any ideas?

What's VanillaMod?

I know there's a glitch in some of the online patches that shows your game is updated to 1.3 when it's really not. I'd update straight from your Kingdoms disk and see if that works. Simply installing Kingdoms should patch your game to 1.3.

I think that's likely to be the salient point. Unless VanillaMod installs in a separate folder (like SS or BC) it's likely to have altered the vanilla game files and will make your version incompatible with ours.

That's assuming you are correctly installed.

I added the Vanilla fix after it failed the first time. If I can't figure it out tonight, I'll try unistalling and reinstalling some stuff tomorrow

This is what I did before I started the game. I had to do a clean reinstall for other reasons..

Install M2TW. Install Kingdoms. Install Kingdoms 1.5 patch.

I don't think the final action affects anything as far as our game is concerned, but I thought i'd let you know anyway. My version number is 1.3 in M2TW, 1.5 in Kingdoms.

If you do the same thing there's no reason it shouldn't work.

While we wait I took the liberty of intervening to get the faction lineup correct.

Turns out I did install Vanilla wrong. Was putting it in its own folder like BC, but guess that's not how it's suppose to go :) To bad I didn't figure that out before I went through the process of reinstalling everything, oh well.
