Belenos, Botroas, and Beer - A Comedic Arverni AAR

(My first AAR. Be gentle. Criticism accepted.)
(Also, no pictures yet. Let me know if this should continue, should have pictures, etc.)
(After two edits, please ignore any spelling errors, as I wrote this on paper while playing, and my writing was pretty messy, and I may have not understood what I wrote correctly...)
Chaper One: Into The Fray

My name is Belenos, son of Aneirin oi Lugos.
(Wow, that doesn't sound cliche at all, does it?)
The year is 272BC, although how a barbarian such as myself would have kept track of large dates is beyond me.
My proud people, the Arverni Gauls, are a troubled folk. We find ourselves wedged in between the two halves of our pitiful Gallic brethren, the Aedui. Roman borders nearby are also concerning. One of these days, we'll be spared of their savage barbarics, and no longer will we be called "hypocrites". Whatever that means.

Recently, whilst doing my father's work for him (taxing, building orders, et cetera...), a messenger came rushing into my study, telling of a large Arverni force that was about to be sent out to conquer rebel cities. I jumped at the prospect, telling the messenger, 'It is time to reveal ourselves to the enemy.' He ran off as hastily as he had come to tell the commander of the operation that "the wolf is coming", while I equipped myself and my steed for battle.

When I arrived on horseback at the camp a week later, I was surprised by who I saw.
'Adcobrovatos?' I asked a man sitting in a circle with other distinguished Gallic officers.
'Belenos?' the man replied. 'For the love of Lugo, we assumed that "the wolf" they were sending was Amminos!' He sighed. 'You're all they sent, eh?'
'Just myself and my mounted guard. Don't tell me YOU'RE in charge of this expidition?' I chuckled in disbelief.
'Who did you expect, Barrivendos?' He laughed.
'Hah! That fairy? Never!' I scoffed. 'He's more interested in other men then he is in massacre!'
For the first time in a long while, Adcobrovatos and I actually got along, sharing tales of our past endeavors over the years. I suspect we had a few too many pints, for the respectable officers in the gathering had begun to back off and wandered to check on their own troops. One of the infantry captains came up to us, and inquired, 'I know you two are enjoying your hammered selves, but the men kind of want to get going, so with all due respect, can you get your asses in gear?'

As far as I recall, it took us half an hour to stand up properly and another hour to get on our mounts, but after a long wait, we were able to lead our men to our destination.

That was the first chapter of my AAR. I will admit I got a lot of inspiration from the "Casey the Casse" AAR, but I'm trying my best to avoid looking like a copycat.

In my defense, all of my ancestry dates back to the Celtic area.

(After a third edit: Wow. A dead AAR has more post activity than me. Is it the lack of pictures? A post limit on topics and therefore everyone's ignoring it? I mean, damn, guys, it's my first AAR and I wrote it at 10 in the morning, I was not exactly operating on all cylinders. I can make a second chapter, but I want opinions! Should I continue with it? Does it NEED pictures? I will admit, I should have posted the battle so you would get an idea of how I narrated battle scenes, but my computer was starting to slow down, so I had to be hasty when playing and writing and nipped the bud before it crashed.)

I'm going to be busy for the rest of the day in my timezone, but I'm not doing anything tomorrow, and since GamersGate is being a b**** for purchasing games, I'll REALLY have nothing better to do. *coughEuropaUniversalis3cough*

If I didn't have any posts after a few more days, I was going to quit this AAR, but thank you for renewing hope in me!

Also, since I'm no comedic god, this AAR will not be COMPLETELY hilarious, nor will the pictures have chat bubbles in them, but captions underneath are certain, provided I can find and use the pictures properly, but I'm sure it will be no difficult task!

(Just occured to me: I wonder what I'm going to do when Belenos oi Lugos dies, for one reason or another? :P)
