Ive noticed that many years after ive taken Taras, it still has a 35% unrest penalty, even after i have replaced every foreign culture building and have 0 culture penalty. Is this hard-coded into the mod? Cause i heard that Taras historically resists the Romans (but does not say when they stop resisting).
I would imagine it would be hard-coded (although I am sure someone in the EB team knows the truth) historically Taras was one of the major cities of Magna Graecia, first resisting the Romans, then inviting the Epirotes in for support and then defecting to Hannibal during the Second Punic War. In short a real pain in the heel of Rome (pun intended).
Maaaaan, I always noticed some cities have this damn unrest penalty. It might be because there's a spy in there causing unrest amongst the citizenry.
Train a spy and send him to Taras. Hopefully he'll be able to weed the bastard out. Like cat and mouse, eh?
Also do you have a FM in Taras? If he has bad governing traits it won't help the situation.
The unrest usually should go down with time, but sometimes occurs a bug in RTW which results in the unrest not reducing. I have no idea what triggers the bug, perhaps a search in the general RTW-forum could provide results.
