RIP. While im not a huge fan of the band, I do appreciate all they have done for music and the landmark songs that they have written.

In college, my drinking group used to go see a band at one of the local bars all the time, one of the guys knew the singer. They did mainly covers of current rock/alt stuff, and we would always (after several pitchers) yell out "Freebird!" at some point.
