What would it feel like being on the front lines? (Fodder Edition)

Admit it, you love to see soldiers fight it out to the death whatever Total War game you play. Now imagine yourself as a newly trained soldier in a regimen,legion,etc.. Unfortunately, the group which you belong in is a group designed to be cannon fodders(expendables, if you prefer that word) to draw enemy fire or simply just to buy time until the elite troops are ready. Now, the time for a large decisive battle has come. How would you feel when you realize that you have thin chances of survival? :skull:

I guess it would kinda depend on how I felt about my country...
