Everyone turn on the News the last miner is being take out of the mine in Chile
Turn on the telly and watch a bit of history
Re: Everyone turn on the News the last miner is being take out of the mine in Chile
Fantastic hats of to Chile engineers, what a marvel to pull of. And to the miners who wanted their friends to be saved first.

A good news story at last well done to all of them

An incredible feat; boring through 700 meters of earth and rock in a way never before done in human history and pulling 33 men up through a tiny hole in that rock.

Good news when they cash in their overtime though.

Heartbreaking footage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-5tuLRX4Jc
That is what humanity's greatest moments look like, this is their man on the moon. Well done well done

Yeah I was watching live as the last miner came out, remarkable scenes. I can't help but respect Chile, I saw their fighting spirit at the World Cup but this whole story is pretty incredible.

I saw it on the news while I was at a Mexican restaurant, but it was in Spanish so I didn't know what exactly was going on.

They managed to dig down to a depth that their miners were already at. Bravo on the speed and bravo for the miners not loosing it, but I think "man on the moon" is hyperbole.

It's pretty amazing what they've done, but to be honest, the footage is a bit boring.

a bit boring???
I think the only way the news channels can top this is to actually start broadcasting paint drying!
I´m glad the miners got out ok.....but this is way too boring to warrant hours and hours of live broadcasting of a bunch of people standing around a well.
Re: Everyone turn on the News the last miner is being take out of the mine in Chile
Well thats why the thread was to turn on the telly for the last guy

kk but I'm a drama-whore. Still an amazing rescue, not just a mine but a collapsed mine so instable as can be. Now that they are out it doesn't look all that much but it was incredibly dangerous. Tons of feelgood.

I didn't give a crap 66 days ago. And I sure as hell don't give a crap now. Disasters like this is why I never watch news programs.
