CA, please bring back the Shogun 1 Soundtrack =)

Part of what made the first Shogun memorable was the soundtrack (which I still listen to these days)

So I humbly ask: CA, please bring back the old soundtrack with any new one you guys might be working on :bow: Its going to be a nice touch for all those who played the first shogun :2thumbsup:

I wouldent worry king - Jeff van Dyck (the shogun 1 composer) is working on the new soundtrak for the game so im sure it will be excellent and will be interesting to compare the old excellent soundtrack with the new one 10 years on.

ya he's awesome and I have no doubt that the soundtrack for shogun 2 will be amazing! still, would be a nice touch to include the one from shoggy 1..for sentimental purposes :p

Was going to start a thread about peoples favourate track from shogun1 but the tracks are all so damn good i cant decide on one favourate :) maybe this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysW8...eature=related the flute type insrument in that song just blew me away first time i heard it, i had never heard anything like it before! All the mobilize and tension tracks are equally as good tho.

I do wonder which one is better, MTW, or STW soundtrack? :P

For me stw had the better sound track but maybe i just like that type of music more but i cant imagine the music for shogun having been better in any way.

shogun music definitely stuck with me more than medieval but they're both so good X_X shogun edges it just by a tiny bit.

Hmmmm, maybe Mobilize1 gets the slight edge, but all three are just great tracks.

I made a montage of Shogun tracks for my truck CD player. I've often had folks ask where I got the CD and who is the artist........they are usually quite surprised when I tell them where the cuts came from................

Oh...and my fav is Tension 3.

i love the sound tracks from stw and those from the desert maps of mtw/vi

stw and mi was best ever..... i made my ringtone from a mongol invasion sound file...

I think it was Mongol Mobilize2 that I liked a lot (starts off with a bongo like beat and has a "digiridoo"-like sound going on throughout). I even got bored on night and used a audio file editor to chop it up, rearrange it and modernize it into a dancy clip for fun.

The original Shogun atmosphere and event clips are just the best ever in a game for me. But then, I'm a bit biased.

The music was one of the special things about STW that was never truly repeated in following games.
