Makedonian "Romanesque" Auxilia
Hello again fellow EB players and fellow Orgah members.
I wondered (humbly) if anyone would perhaps in any way be able to help me a bit a lot.
Namely I would like someone to:
For this unit:
http://europabarbarorum.heimstatt.ne...xilia_INFO.jpg
Replace the Roman symbol on the shield with a Makedonian symbol, preferably an Argead star. In addition to this remove the greaves(/pants?), recolour the green (and white stripes on it) tunic into something more brownish/black and remove the plume (seems like they don't have plumes in-game, thus no need to remove non-existent stuff). Finally, if not too burdensome perhaps equip the gentlemen in question with some beards.
And for this unit:
http://europabarbarorum.heimstatt.ne...xilia_INFO.jpg
Replace the Roman symbol on the shield with a Makedonian symbol, preferably an Argead star.
I think I will call the Eastern Makedonian Auxilia unit Asiatikoi Pezoi Symachoi and the Western unit something with Pezoi Symachoi (can't really think of a proper name for the Western Europe, Western North Africa region). Also if it is not too much to ask maybe make some new unit cards for these new units.
Thank you in advance.
PS I don't have 3dsmax.
~Arthur (hopefully not sounding arrogant, demanding, or Swedish... And yes Jirisys I am stealing this from you )
Re: Makedonian "Romanesque" Auxilia
No modelling for me yet, I can help you with the skinning, but only if I keep the same model... Exemplify what you want removed "Too roman features" is enough vague as somebody who wants a faction symbol without giving me the faction color in RGB (Yes NOM team... I'm talking to you :clown:)
Anyway, I could help you out if moddeling was already done...
~Jirisys (Yes... I noticed that)
Re: Makedonian "Romanesque" Auxilia
With the "Too Roman-looking" line I meant as if someone saw any Roman equipment (which the Cohors Validvm Avxiliarivm units uses) that is not similarly looking to Hellenic equipment; like for example a Gladius and a Kopis are somewhat similar and I wondered if someone (with better knowledge on the matter) knew if the Hasta spear is diffrent (as in looks different) from a Dory spear. Some guy at this site (12th post from the top and down) http://www.romanarmytalk.com/rat/viewtopic.php?p=171009 hints at the Dory and Hasta just being diffrent names if the essentially same thing (I didn't see this until just recently).
Other than that I think I've covered the changes, in the OP.
Oh and don't worry about not being able to do any modelling, we can just make this a faction skin of the same unit(s) and then I'll just change the names when using them as Makedonia.
I thank thee greatly for doing this.

Oh, I see.
Possibly a bit off topic here but, how complicated would the aforementioned unit-editing be?
~Arthur
Re: Makedonian "Romanesque" Auxilia
Depends on how well you are with image editing. For me it's the time (Since I'm making a mini m... something:grin:) so I can't help you right now...

Hi, Why are you stealing fluvius pre-sig?
~Jirisys (:inquisitive:)
Re: Makedonian "Romanesque" Auxilia
:P I stole it from you, and you stole it from Fluvius correct?
Why? Sometimes, you just feel like copying a concept, and that I did.

Lovely.
Oh, yeah I forgot about Fluvius not doing the "quote after ~<insert name here>" thing, silly me.
We're quite good at this 'staying on topic' business aren't we? :sweatdrop:
~Arthur (hooray for plagiarism!)
Re: Makedonian "Romanesque" Auxilia
BTW, what is the background story for that auxilia?

It will all be revealed in due time, in some later update of my Makedonian empire in the 'EB empires' thread.

I believe the distance of 9652 kilometres between Sweden and El Salvador would nullify the possible 'dangers' of homosexual attraction. I thank you for your concern however.

Yes we could. However I would like to ask what the hell does the last part mean?
And yes, don't worry, homosexual attractions over the internet are quite common when Sonic mentions them, very strange indeed
~Jirisys (Are you compensating for something sonic?:clown:)

Sorry I couldn't help not being an ass for once...
Don't worry though I ain't a Nazi, learnt of it myself through this punk (thus anarchistic thus socialistic thus not Nazi) song:

They got the name Joy Division from the name of a prostitution wing of a Nazi concentration camp mentioned in the book 'The House of Dolls'.
