If you have installed EB 1.2 will it still say 1.1 in the game?
Just wondering if I did something wrong?

I think they forgot to change the version number but i'm not 100% sure

Nope, definitely says 1.2 if you've installed correctly.

I installed everything into the Alexander folder because that is the only way I could get EB Alexander to work with Steam...

You have to install the 1.2 patch inside the RTW folder and not inside the EB folder.
If 1.1 is showed, you picked the wrong folder. 1.1 games are not savegame-compatible under 1.2

Yep I followed this guide and installed everything into the Alexander TW folder and not into the RTW folder or the EB folder...

Ah I figured out what the problem is I installed it here because I did not see or take out the part that says remove this!
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rome total war alexander\[First select your RTW where EB1.1 is, then remove this]
