Europe's Magical Mysterylands Mapped
Some people have taken the effort of mapping the mental maps of Europeans. All the wonders of the crude notions of neo-nationalist Europe brought together in several convenient maps.
We'll start with France, the heart of Europe, and around which the universe revolves.
Belgium and Switzerland are mini-me's. Italians are friends. Germans are best friends. (please, pretty please?)
The other countries are really just varying degrees of annoying or useful. They make plumbers or weed or cell phones. Or something. Who cares really.
Europe as viewed from Poland.
Evil bullies to the left, evil bullies to the right. In between, the vast lands Poland once managed to rule. It is Poland's God given right to influence these countries, whereas Russian and German influence in Poland is a sign of their innate criminality.
The British are Godless traitors and the French are pussies, hence they lost WWII just when Poland was winning it. :balloon2:
Britain.
At a glance the mental map that shows why stating the mere fact that Britain is a European country should be considered genocide. :laugh4:
All is one big blur, one monolith from Portugal to Finland. Evil. Against which Britain must defend itself.

Godless as in non-catholic, traitors as in they didn't send everybody and their children in Poland immediatelly to stop German tanks.
Great maps, I laughed my bottom off...

Actually, Sarmation, it has to do with the Allies not preventing the Soviet invasion of Poland after WWII, this betrayal is particularly pointed given the excellent combat records of Poles in the Allied War effort, especially the Polish Air Force during the Battle of Britain. We repaid the Poles by abandoning them once the war was done.

There is no map of America because my love is Europe and all it's magical undercurrents.
However, I wouldn't want to dissappoint you so here is Europe as seen by American eyes:

There is no link because my rolemodel is Tribesman and all his magical undercurrents.
However, I wouldn't want to dissappoint you so here is Europe as seen by German eyes:

Prizeless stuff! So how about Europe through Finnish eyes?
-
Re: Europe's Magical Mysterylands Mapped
That's easy, just mark every country with "no vodka here".

You'll never find out though as drunk driving is illegal, and I dare you to find a sober driver in Finland....

Alas! No such thing. However, I wouldn't want to disappoint you, so, for no particular reason whatsoever, here's Europe as seen by gay eyes. :beam:
Speaking of which, here is Europe as seen by the Vatican:

Since Louis is allergic to sources, the maps are by Yanko Tsvetkov.

Ok, not as fancy as those others, but I made a map of Europe from an Australian point of view.

There was an article in the BBC about gays leaving Northern Ireland because they were so hated/intimidated... it's one of te few issues the Protestant/Catholic communities join together on...

"White skinned Russians?" I never understood why no one thinks Russians are white.

Eh that would be because a lot of them are not white, Russia stretches from Europe to the Pacific remember

Who thinks of a Mongol complexion when they think of Russia?
-
Re: Europe's Magical Mysterylands Mapped
I think its an example of people conflating race with culture. We tend to think of white skin = western, but Russia isn't really western, so we don't think of them as being white. There was a thread a while back that supported this idea... Bosniaks were less likely to be classified as white compared to Croats/Serbs, just because they were Muslim.

Re: Europe's Magical Mysterylands Mapped
How about a "Europe according to Gaddafi"?
-
Re: Europe's Magical Mysterylands Mapped
That would just be a map of europe with "NEEDS MORE GREENZ" written over it.

I'd said it was full of bombing targets, with Iceland on the prime mark since wikileaks hurt Gaddafi's ***
