So out of lazyness I went longer than usual without shaving. But now I've shaved it off, I feel naked and incomplete. :embarassed:
Anyone else ever feel like this?

Yea just removed 5/6 weeks worth recently for a wedding over in the UK and for a couple of days after I felt a bit funny, so I let it grow again and then I stupidly shaved it off this morning to go the the u21 match in Castlebar this evening.
Absolutely. I let it grow for a few days before I remove it. Looks much better.
Men weren't meant to have faces that resembled baby's bottoms. ~;)
Nah, seriously, some men look better without them, but most men I think would look better with a beard. It definitely is a great feeling to wear one. It is just a part of you, like your teeth, or head hair.
beards are good for catching food you might miss.
My native american comrade above speaks the truth.
I prefer to keep my face shaved clean anyways, I look far too redneck-ish for my own good if I let it grow.
Shaving after I've let it grow out a bit always feels good to me. I usually shave everyday but sometimes I get lazy.
Good 'ol Asian genes keep me bowl cut and clean shaven. 'Tis truly the way to go.
Guys with beards are usually called "dog face." Bro's, please, don't let it grow out. We are men, not animals.
Well I've had a full beard since I was 15...so allowing it to grow out as long as possible is the dream, but uni placement kills that dream as I need to shave every second day! At the time having a full beard in high school was awesome...but now it is such a chore.
If I shave every day I get a mighty neck rash, anyone else have this problem? The stuble hasn't grown enough to get a good slice on day 2 so I leave it for day 3 to shave.
I have a small goatee, I look like either Jafar from Aladdin or Ali Baba at times. It's not nearly as curly though. My mother and sister hate it, but most of the girls with whom I've had a relationship either loved it or were indifferent.
I grew a beard once like Daron Malakian, my girlfriend hated it...as did my mum...as did my boss...as did everyone in general. I never had the eyeliner though, not my style.
Sometimes I let it grow because Im too lazy to take the 5 minutes and shave.
Used to do it every day back in college. Now however don't have the time, so I do it every three-four days. Although I don't like how I look clean shaved, but popular opinion here is that that's the decent way to go.
twice a day while in the army...now mayby once every week or 2
A beard's increase to a male's sex appeal is directly proportional to the amount of effort gone into maintaining it. You're not going to impress anyone with an uneven, unkempt furry creature on your chin.

Unless of course you're Beirut. But in that instance you've got an axe. What else do you need? :juggle2:
UNNATURAL WOMAN!! HERETIC! BURN HER! BURN HER!!
~;)
Actually, you are not alone...many women don't. In my experience, there are usually two main types of women who like the beard: really loose women (I won't say the W word), and very conservative-minded women (usually though, in an age group higher than my own :P).
The average collage girl I know is generally not a fan of beards, but more working class women seem to like it. Also, I am not sure why, but every floozy I have ever known has loved facial hair. :P
I guess it depends on the length of the beard and what the guy actually looks like, really.
Some guys really suit the bearded look, whereas others just come across as a hobo... then again, you also have the clean-shaven baby-faced guys who look like a fifteen year old, which is a complete no-no for me as well; a man's gotta look rugged if he's going to go down that route, the teenage look doesn't appeal to an adult woman, ta very much. :laugh4:
An example of someone who I think really suits facial hair:

It's a sad state of affairs these days, when men have to look how women like them to look.
Anyway, now this is a guy who knows how to keep a beard.

Let's see what science has to say on the matter. Or, more correctly, science according to this Telegraph article; as I am too lazy to do more background research:
Women prefer men with stubble for love, sex and marriage
Anyway. Anyway, ideas like this is not the reason why I keep a stubble/short beard. T'is simply convenient; and as the article says: it carries the bonus of giving a more masculine appearance - or a grimmer one, if I may use that word.Quote:
Stubble is the way to win a woman’s heart, a study has shown. Researchers found that women are more attracted to men with stubbly chins than those with clean-shaven faces or full beards.
Women participating in the research rated men with stubble as tough, mature, aggressive, dominant and masculine - and as the best romantic partners, either for a fling or a long-term relationships.

Writing in the journal Personality and Individual Differences, the researchers conclude: “Facial hair, or beardedness, is a powerful sociosexual signal, and an obvious biological marker of sexual maturity.
"Facial hair may have been sexually selected by females on the basis of associated male success, despite its threatening appearance. Clean-shaven faces therefore may suggest appeasement, as well as being an obvious sign of sexual immaturity.
