Swimming Units in BI & Crossing bridges.
So, it is wonderful that light units can now swim...it gives my archers lots of time to shoot them in the water.
Problem is, once I have routed that enemy force, and I want to pursue them as they retreat...killing them en-masse, I have not quite figured out how to get my own cavalry to charge accross the bridge. Instead they insist on swimming after them, meaning that by the time they have crossed, all the enemy are already off the map.
Is there some obscure key-combo to force a unit to cross the bridge?

can you not just run them to the bridge?

In my experience thus far, any attempt to run swimming troops to a point across the bridge or on the bridge itself will result in them swimming across. This is not a pathfinding thing, because even if the unit is right in front of the bridge and the bridge is clear it will still move around to the shore and swim across.

Well...that sucks. I have never encountered that problem.
Then again, I never played BI much...
