Melee Attack bug on Veterans

Yesterday I tried to add melee attack to my Katana Cavalry vet and it didn't do anything, even though the point is added and I am paying for it. For testing purposes I did the same thing to a Yari Cavalry vet and with the same result.

Here is a similar bug that appeared after the DX11 patch, to a veteran I had upgraded before the patch. It has kept all of its stats and it costs the amount it should, but it displays that I haven't upgraded the melee defense (unit skill points) of the unit:

I wonder what would happen if I put more points into defense :inquisitive:

Has anyone else experienced this?

Dont forget you need the following to purchase the clan skill upgrades:
1) a high enough unit level to unlock the upgrade (e.g. level 5)
2) enough unit skills to unlock the upgrade (e.g. 4 seperate skills)
3) an unspent unit skill point (from recent experience gain)
4) enough clan skill points (e.g. 20) (see avatar page)

I kept trying to upgrade without #3 and/or #4 and thought it was broken-- but you need to have the clan skill points as well as an unspent experience point, as well, plus all the unlocks. Hope this helps.

I'm not talking about the clan skill upgrades - as you can see I've already upgraded my Naginata Warrior Monk with a clan skill upgrade. The bug is that if you attempt to add melee attack to Katana Cav or Yari Cav, it'll let you spend the point but not give you any stats.

I have had the same problem when upgrading the melee attack to a Katana Cavalry vet it just did not show up, I probably should have tried to test it vs normal Katana cav to see if it made a difference in a battle, in the end i just deleted it as it was only a rank 1 vet.

Cav units melee upgrades seem to have been bugged since the patch, it doesnt seem possible atm to upgrade melee points on fresh vets.
