problem 2: I dislike the movie
RTW and EB start with a movie that I didnt find entertaining even the first time.
Sometimes the movie ignores my attempts
to stop it by hitting the ESC key. It is then impossible to stop it by any means less
drastic than switching off at the mains. In RTW you can suppress the movie by
inserting -nm into the command line, but when I try this in EB I get an error.
On my PC the command is
"C:\Program Files\EBTrivialScript\EBTrivialScript.exe" -s ebconfig.xml -runeb -type "Single Player"
and when I insert -nm here ^
I get the error " unknown option -nm "
Please is it possible to suppress the movie?
Re: problem 2: I dislike the movie
Sorry my attempt to show where I put the -nm got changed I meant to put the -nm
just before the -s .
Re: problem 2: I dislike the movie
You should add -nm to the end of the line like this:
"C:\Program Files\EBTrivialScript\EBTrivialScript.exe" -s ebconfig.xml -runeb -type "Single Player" -nm
Re: problem 2: I dislike the movie
I have to correct Ibn-Khaldun on this point, the '-nm' switch works only on Rome-TW.exe, not on the Trivial Script.
As you already use Trivial Script to launch EB simply open 'EB Configuration' and change it there!

Where is 'EB Configuration' ? what do I have to change?
Re: problem 2: I dislike the movie
In the same path as the other created files from Trivial Script, in your case: C:\Program Files\EBTrivialScript\
Re: problem 2: I dislike the movie
I cannot find any such file. The contents of that folder (& subfolders) are:
acknowledgment.txt
EBTrivialScript.exe
License.txt
unins000.dat
ChangeLog.txt
Examples Manual (subfolders)
unins000.exe
./Examples:
Foobar Control
Hello World
./Examples/Foobar Control:
FoobarControl.lnk
foobar.xml
readme.txt
./Examples/Hello World:
HelloWorld.lnk
hello.xml
readme.txt
./Manual:
bg-blue.png
filterScript.js
manual.css
manual.xsl
bg.png
index.html
manual.xml
Re: problem 2: I dislike the movie
Don't you have EB in the start up menu?
Also, I use Trivial Script only for MP. For single player I have normal shortcut. I suggest you to create one for yourself too.
Just add this into the target line:
"C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -mod:EB -nm -show_err
Re: problem 2: I dislike the movie
Later: I found EB configuration in a different folder, it was in
C:\Rome - Total War
I have no idea why it sometimes installs in different places. I opened
that folder with Windows explorer and double clicked the thing
labelled EB configuration and it did indeed offer some options
including disable the movie; and that seems to have worked, at
least for now.
Thank you
