Yes; I smashed my opponent and won the set.
compulsory conscript training here, either taken at the middle of highschool or university years (technically you're merely reserve forces, but in holidays, you could get a free tour to play guns with rebels)
I plan to, MRD has, and Centurion is in ROTC, and I think plans to as well.
and we have the list of our unpatriotic draft dodgers  (everyone under 18 in that list was ommited - Warman and Populus Romanus, you both should try that, it's fun!)Quote:

U.S. Army for a little over 4 years.
Yes I got paid to ride around in a 60 ton Winnebago, crush things, shoot stuff a mile away or more, and blow things up.
There is some entertainment value in that.
If I did it for fun for some odd reason. No I have a scholarship they pay for school I pay back with army time.
obviously, Cute Wolf never think that in most western countries, compulsory services in the army is a series of boring training sessions under strict supervisions. Not some simple training with guns and sent to some rebellious areas to blow up some terrorists/rebels/freedom fighter heads
Some country's don't have compulsory services or even barely have an army...
Invade america we dont have compulsory service............. how do you think that will go down? I predict indonesias troop carriers going down somewhere near indonesia.....
I don’t think we should stigmatize those who have not been members of a military service.:shame:
There are requirements for those who may serve and physical, mental, or other limitations may also be responsible for some not serving.
Almost everyone here is at least an arm chair commander.
If someone has not been a member of an armed force I am sure we can assume there are extenuating circumstances.
Besides, it is difficult enough to keep people motivated who want to be there without dragging in those who don’t. :laugh4:
Draft is suspended over here (not abolished). In theory I could be called on, but then I'd probably fail the physical requirements test given my poor eyesight.
I live on an island twice the size of India, a lot of which is desert. Try invading that, regardless of the size of our standing army.
My great-grand-uncle always used to tell me that if all else fails, join the army.
I'm not at that point yet, though.
Until then no one wants it.
The one time Australia was invaded no one noticed.
When was it they found the bodies? Was it the 1960s or 1970s?
The Japanese landed a Battalion or so on the north coast. No one knew they were there and they all starved to death.
I said no, but within the next 5 years I will be a Marine, if its that long it'll be officer, if shorter then I didn't get into college and I'll go enlisted.
wanted to, but parents stopped it, and I cannot qualify for military service anyhow. (health reasons: they don't want anyone with serious head trauma, Anemia, injured knees, or severely underweight, or at risk from it (my cousin had to lie about some of those-I'm not going to do that, as it is not reasonable to do so)).
