Historians Wanted! HRTW

Hello there,

I am a lover of history and of Rome Total War. At TWC I have decided to combine my two passions into one, with the result being Historical Rome Total War. It is coming along well and we are finishing up the Alpha version for release.. in Beta and later mods we are going to include alot of diverse history, making every faction/unit/settlement/and region as historically accurate as possible..

So what im looking for is this:

Historical Critics.. If a faction did not have a certain settlement, there was no such thing as "Arcani" let us know!!

Regional Historians.. Have a passion for Thrace or Libya? Or do you know everything about Sparta? We need you!!

Military Historians: We need historical unit rosters for each faction.. only you can help with that!

Everything else! Anybody who enjoys ancient history is welcome to help our mod.. even though its based at TWC you can still help!

Here are some details:

Game starts in 280 B.C. and ends in 14 A.D.
Has the "vanilla feel" of RTW but adds in alot of historical detail

Alpha Version

One Roman Faction: The Roman Republic (Julii)
Scipii converted into Illyria
Brutii converted into Nabataean Kingdom (won the poll)
Senate converted into Bosporan Kingdom (second place in poll)
Egypt transformed into Ptolemaic Empire (complete culture change)
Thrace culture change: greek to barbarian (only partial, still retains alot of greek units)
Tons of reskins.. we are in the middle of reskinning alot of units for their respected factions

thats all we are working on now.. but things will get hectic when we start beta version.. thats when we need you! so please PM, VM or post in this thread if you want to help and let me know, what you know! then we can start using your knowledge!

Hmmm.. thats a possibility. I just figured since this was a historical forum that the mod could get some interest

The Monastery does attract lots of people with historical interest. Who knows, a few guys or gals with just the right interest might come along.


Nothing prevents you from posting this in the mod section too!
