Fantastic screenshot by Paltmull. It has focus - the viewer instinctively assumes the character of the center infantryman. It has spectacle - on the far left, a comrade falls to his died after having been speared; next to him is another whose shield arm is transfixed by a kontos; on the right, lance penetrates shield. In the distance, billowing clouds of dust indicate that this was no dainty trot by the horsemen.

All in all, it captures the terror of a cataphract charge brilliantly.

I'm in Turkey at the moment, so I'm not able to participate here very actively. I'll try to look here the 10th to see the results though. Thıs contest sure ıs a close one!
